I would like to start my report by offering my sincere gratitude to the organizers of this prestigious competition: Sam Sodano, Mary Murphy, and Wendy Johnson.Year after year, the Holiday Dance Classic all but guarantees a well-organized and well-arranged event, a fun atmosphere with beautiful décor- and it is a great reflection on the dedication of both the organizers and the staff that put it on every December.

Maryland Dancesport 2016
6 Feb 2016The Art of Seduction!
You either have it or you not……. When it comes to Ballroom dancing some couples have the art of seduction down, drawing you to them and making you, if you’re a judge, bring them back over and over and if you are the audience keep looking at them nonstop. Last night at the Maryland Dancesport the professional Smooth was a perfect example of dancing seduction.
Ohio Star Ball 2015:Amateur International Latin
Review by Ilya Ifraimov

Another Ohio Star Ball has passed, bringing excitement, fabulous dancing, and an inspiring atmosphere for all competitors and spectators. Although there were many memorable moments throughout the week, I will concentrate on the Amateur Latin, which is always an exciting division. This year's event was not an easy one to judge, and some very close calls had to be made, especially in the final round. Each detail was important and every moment mattered for the competitors.

Congratulations to Wendy Johnson, Sam Sodano & Mary Murphy for putting together another fantastic Holiday Dance Classic.
While the Open Rhythm did not have the large number of top couples that we like to see at this level event, the couples making the final still deserve sincere congratulations for a job well done.

How Dance Impacts the Entrepreneurial Mind

I recently saw an interview with a one-legged Olympic skier.
She lost her leg when she was a child, and reflected on the day her mother casually handed her a pamphlet for ski camp. It was moment that changed her self-concept forever, and helped her begin to envision a future beyond recovery and the limits of her “condition.” Her mother planted quite a seed that day– enough for her to see herself not as a, “one-legged woman” but as someone who could ski…and eventually become a champion.
